NEW YORK: IBM announced a partnership with Google to add Google Gadgets to its WebSphere Portal pages. This will facilitate users to customize their webpages with web-based applets like maps and translators and surveys, which are part of Google Gadgets.

The partnership will allow IBM, the largest provider of employee portal software used by large corporations, to offer personalized home pages for office workers, who can make use of Google Gadgets to improve the look and feel and usability of the home pages.
