The service has been in the news again and again over the past few weeks, and it would be enough to make you sick - except that most of what’s happening is pretty cool. The latest development - a partnership between Google Maps and JetBlue Airways - meets the same standard.
Unfortunately, “pretty cool” is not “revolutionary” - the partnership, as it stands at the moment, will only bring about flight tracking. “We’re constantly looking for ways to enhance our customers’ in-flight experience,” explained Brett Muney, a manager of product development for JetBlue, in an official statement. “With the addition of Google’s advanced mapping technology, our customers can enjoy a seat with a view - tracking their flight’s altitude, speed and location on the way to their destination.”
