Most Google Adsense publishers match the ad border color with the site background to remove the ad unit border and increase clicks to generate more money. The square edged border failed to blend with many web designs, and now I see an option to create rounded corner borders.
Login to your Google Adsense panel and find a new option of Corner Styles to optionally choose from one of 3 pre-designed corner styles.
