
Search giant inks licensing deal with French news agency
Google has reached a licensing agreement with French news service Agence France-Presse (AFP) over the use of its headlines and pictures in Google news.
The deal settles a $14.5m lawsuit the news service filed in 2005. AFP at the time complained that Google's copying of headlines and photos in the Google News service infringed on its copyrights.
