Sky has announced that it will be joining forces with Google to bring the search company's tools to its broadband customers.
The companies have announced deals in three areas - video, communications and search - to bring customised services to Sky's broadband subscribers.
Sky will launch a user-generated video portal using Google's syndicated video content tools where users can upload their own home videos to share. The content will even be available to download onto mobile phones.
There will be a fully customised version of Google Mail, where users will be able to have a @sky.com email address. Collaborations in search and advertising will see sponsored links appear on search result pages.
